If you would like to take up gliding, or are looking for a thrilling day out, or an unusual gift, a trial lesson is an ideal introduction to this exhilarating sport. Use our online system to book a trial lesson.

Summer courses
Summer training courses are offered to members and visitors alike and run from April - September. Courses are a really great way to learn how to fly gliders.
Courses in 2024 are now fully booked.
Junior gliding
Devon and Somerset Gliding Club (DSGC) actively encourages young people to take up the sport of gliding, pilot training can start from as young as 12 or 13 years.
Group evenings
Group evenings / corporate days are a brilliant way for a group of friends, work colleagues, social or youth group to get together for an evening in the summer and experience the thrill of flying a glider and getting a unique view of the Devon countryside. Bookings for Groups days / evenings in 2025 will open in the New Year.
