The Wily Old Bird Trophy
The Wily Old Bird Trophy is awarded annually and is a personal presentation by the CFI to someone who has displayed a particular degree of ingenuity, imagination, tenacity, determination or cunning.
The trophy, skilfully executed in clay depicting a Wily Old Bird, was presented by Ken Andrews.
In 2023, it was awarded to Rob Hender - "This person is a constant source of both inspiration and exasperation. They have an uncanny ability to organise our lives to the point where I find myself asking for permission to take a 20-minute lunch break in my own caravan. After 21 minutes , I receive a call, 'Where are you?, You've had long enough! Have you taken a nap?....." Mark Courtney
