Why did you start gliding? | My friend Will started gliding and invited me up for a flight, after that I was hooked.
What is your most memorable flight? | My first wave flight, flying up to 5000' in smooth air and flying above the clouds was just fantastic.
What keeps you motivated? | That I'm constantly learning and that with every flight I'm becoming a better pilot.
Does gliding influence other areas of your life? | It has built my self confidence.
What single word sums up gliding for you? | Awesome
How do you manage to finance your sport? | I have received a lot of help from various trusts including the Ian Beckett fund which is run within the club, all of which I'm very grateful for!
What do you like about DSGC? | There is a great junior community, as well as amazing opportunities for junior pilots such as the Ka6 that we get to fly for free and the Ian Beckett Fund.
Where do you see yourself in gliding in 2 years time? | I would love to be an instructor, it would be fantastic to be able to share the sport with others.
Where else have you flown? | I've flown at a handful of airfields around the country: Yeovilton, Merryfield, Upavon and Portmoak all of them offering completely different experiences.
