- (DSGC) signifies these specific terms and conditions apply only to DSGC direct purchases
- You can buy and book a flight, or buy a voucher for yourself or as a present for someone else.
- A (DSGC) voucher is valid for 18 months from the Date of Purchase. Vouchers that have expired may be revalidated subject to an administration charge, please email the club: vouchers@dsgc.co.uk
- A (DSGC) flight booking or voucher purchase includes three months temporary membership in the Devon and Somerset Gliding Club, effective from the date of the flight. This entitles the holder to further flights, free instruction and other member benefits during these three months at the same club rates as a normal club member.
- All flights are with a qualified B.G.A. instructor in a two-seat glider.
- To ensure safety, cameras and phones may only be taken in the glider if a neck or wrist strap is used.
- Accompanying visitors are welcome, but they must follow DSGC safety notices and instructions.
- The actual length of a flight is entirely dependent on the prevailing weather conditions but will generally be 15-20 minutes, with a maximum 30 minutes.
- If for any reason an aerotow launch is unavailable you will be offered an alternative of two winch launches. If you prefer an aerotow launch, your flight can be rescheduled.
- Flights are bookable on our normal flying days – Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday as shown on the Booking Calendar.
- We strongly advise you to call the club on 01404 841386 early on the day of your flight to confirm that the weather is suitable. Should it be unsuitable, your flight will have to be rescheduled.
- Devon and Somerset Gliding Club will refuse to fly any person who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or is in any other way unfit to fly at the appointed time. Under such circumstances, the purchase will be deemed to have been used and no refund / alternative time will be offered.

- Please make sure that you check the restrictions on pilot height and weight before purchasing a voucher or making a flight booking.
- A (DSGC) Junior First Flight/Voucher purchase can be used by anyone under the age of 21, or 25 if still in full time education. Young people under the age of 18 will require a parent or guardian’s written consent.
